Meet Lucy

Ever since she could hold a paintbrush, Lucy has been chasing color — filling sketchbooks, painting rocks, and turning blank faces into tiny canvases bursting with imagination. That lifelong love of art grew into Lucy’s Bloom & Brush: a year-round NYC business bringing face painting, henna, guided art classes, and hands-on crafts to birthday parties, school events, holiday parties, and community celebrations across the city.

Every booking gets the same thoughtful, careful, kid-tested touch. Lucy uses professional-grade, skin-safe, non-toxic paints and henna.

Lucy runs every booking herself, so combo services happen one at a time in sequence — not as simultaneous stations.

Good to know: A 50% deposit secures your date. Rates reflect current NYC market research for beginner-to-intermediate face painters ($75–125/hr) and event henna artists ($75–200/hr), priced fairly on the lower end while Lucy builds her portfolio.

Since it's just Lucy — no additional artists on staff — group size has natural limits: expect roughly 8–10 face designs per hour, and a parent helper is recommended for craft stations with more than 8 kids. Booked time includes a few minutes for setup and breakdown. For very large events (30+ kids, multi-hour festivals, or school-wide fairs), please reach out for a custom quote rather than the standard packages above.
